Stored XSS via malformed audio-file name
Published May 30, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in ZKTeco ZKBio CVSecurity 6.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via an audio-file name. The Audio File add form stores the unneutralized name parameter; a malformed img tag bypasses its filter and runs when the menu renders. An authenticated account must add the crafted record, and any user who later opens the Audio File menu runs the script in the application's origin, exposing browser-accessible data and actions.
