CVE-2024-3543

Credential exposure via reversible password storage

Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024

Credential exposure in Progress Software LoadMaster allows remote authenticated users to decrypt stored passwords through the management API. LoadMaster stores passwords with a reversible encryption algorithm, and privileged API access exposes material that permits plaintext recovery. Exploitation requires access to the adjacent management network and high privileges; recovered credentials enable actions available to the compromised accounts.
