Authenticated SQL command execution via unescaped tax settings
Published May 22, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
SQL injection in WeBid 1.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL commands through the tax settings endpoint. The admin/tax.php update path concatenates the taxuser and tax POST values directly into an UPDATE statement without escaping or parameter binding. Administrator authentication is required by the page, and successful injection permits arbitrary database commands, including time-delay functions.
