CVE-2024-35398Network attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via unchecked desc length

Published May 28, 2024 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK CP900L 4.1.5cu.798_B20221228 allows remote attackers to execute code or crash the device. The setMacFilterRules handler fails to validate the length of the untrusted desc parameter before placing it in stack storage. An unauthenticated network request can corrupt memory, yielding arbitrary code execution or a service crash on the appliance.
