CVE-2024-35388

Unauthenticated memory corruption via password decoding

Published May 24, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK NR1800X Firmware 9.1.0u.6681_B20230703 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a password. The urldecode function writes decoded password data beyond a stack buffer, although the public record does not identify its request handler or copy primitive. An adjacent-network position is sufficient without authentication or user interaction; published evidence does not establish whether exploitation causes code execution, a crash, or another outcome.
