Log injection via unsanitized deletion identifiers
Published Nov 29, 2024 · Updated Dec 2, 2024
Log injection in Ant Media Server 2.8.2 allows remote attackers to insert line breaks into server logs via crafted deletion identifiers. RestServiceBase.deleteBroadcasts and deleteVoDs pass failed broadcast or VoD identifiers to warning logs without replacing carriage-return or newline characters. Reachability requires access to an application REST endpoint; forged entries can mislead log review but do not directly modify application data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
