Script execution via unfiltered cur_url reflection
Published May 22, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Reflected XSS in ECShop 3.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser through article_cat.php. The endpoint assigns the unfiltered POST cur_url value to $search_url, which the compiled article_cat template concatenates directly into an HTML form. Exploitation requires a crafted request and victim interaction; the injected script runs in the victim's browser context and can read or modify page-accessible data.
