Unauthenticated SQL execution via getIcon URL parameter
Published May 21, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
SQL injection in mTab Bookmark 1.9.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL through the /LinkStore/getIcon endpoint. The endpoint incorporates the JSON url value into a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax, as shown by time-delay payloads that invoke sleep(). No account is required, and successful exploitation can read or write database data within the privileges of the application database user.
