Credential disclosure via unauthenticated configuration download
Published May 28, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Information disclosure in Anpviz IP cameras through firmware 3.2.2.2 allows remote attackers to retrieve device credentials via HTTP. The web_server copy_file path accepts ConfigFile.ini or config.xml requests without authentication, copies /mnt/nand/config.xml, and returns its contents. Network access to the camera web interface is sufficient to obtain usernames and encrypted passwords, which can be decrypted using a device-wide hardcoded key.
