Phishing redirects via unrestricted custom URL requests
Published Jun 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper authorization in ZOZOTOWN for Android before 7.39.6 allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary websites. The custom URL scheme handler accepts URL-opening requests from any installed application and follows the supplied destination without restricting the caller. Exploitation requires another application on the device and user interaction, after which the unexpected destination can present a phishing page.
