Unauthenticated code execution via CAPWAP stack overflow

Stack-based buffer overflow in Fortinet FortiOS 7.2.4 through 7.2.8 and 7.4.0 through 7.4.4 allows remote attackers to execute code. CAPWAP control fails to bound crafted UDP packet data before writing it to stack memory, allowing the packet to overwrite adjacent stack contents. Exploitation requires the fabric service on an exposed interface and evasion of stack protections; successful attacks run arbitrary commands without authentication.
