CVE-2024-35274

Administrative file creation via CLI path traversal

Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 12, 2024

Path traversal in Fortinet FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer 7.4.2 and earlier allows local users to create files through crafted CLI requests. Fortinet identifies crafted CLI pathname handling but has not disclosed the affected command or code locus; relative traversal escapes the intended directory restriction. Exploitation requires read-write administrative privileges and permits only non-arbitrary file creation in a chosen directory.
