Authenticated code execution via sndproxy out-of-bounds write
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2025
An out-of-bounds write in Fortinet FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer allows remote authenticated users to execute code via crafted HTTP requests. The sndproxy daemon writes beyond a buffer boundary while processing attacker-controlled HTTP request data; Fortinet has not published the precise field or parsing routine. Exploitation requires high privileges and can run arbitrary commands on affected FortiManager 7.4.0 through 7.4.2 and FortiAnalyzer 7.4.0 through 7.4.3 appliances.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
