CVE-2024-35250Known exploitationPublic exploit

SYSTEM escalation via kernel-mode IOCTL proxying

Published Jun 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Untrusted pointer dereference in Microsoft Windows kernel-mode drivers allows local users to execute code with SYSTEM privileges. In ks.sys, UnserializePropertySet reissues user-controlled IOCTL_KS_PROPERTY buffers through KsSynchronousIoControlDevice as KernelMode, bypassing request-origin checks. Low-privileged code execution is required, and successful exploitation gives complete SYSTEM control.
