CVE-2024-35246Network attack vector

Unauthenticated device crash via repeated login packets

Published Jun 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Denial of service in Westermo L210-F2G Lynx firmware 4.21.0 allows remote attackers to crash the switch via repeated login packets. The WebGUI and SSH authentication services do not adequately limit repeated login attempts, allowing sustained request floods to exhaust the device. No credentials or user interaction are required; network access to either management service can interrupt routing and switching functions.
