CVE-2024-35237Network attack vector

Identity disclosure via unauthorized Discord commands

Published May 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Missing authorization in MIT IdentiBot before commit 48e3e5e7 allows remote attackers to disclose verified users' identity data. The kerbid and linked-profile command handlers return profileText results without first checking whether interaction.guildId belongs to a registered server. Exposure requires an unpatched instance connected to a public Discord application; unauthorized server members can retrieve full names and other stored profile details.
