CVE-2024-35230Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated build details disclosure via public pages

Published Dec 16, 2024 · Updated Dec 17, 2024

Information disclosure in GeoServer before 2.26.0 allows remote attackers to read build and component versions from public web pages. GeoServerHomePage renders the version resource in its footer for unauthenticated sessions, while the About page exposes build, revision, and library details without an authorization check. Access to the enabled web administration interface is sufficient, and the disclosed inventory supports precise identification of software components for follow-on targeting.
