CVE-2024-35214Public exploit

EDR removal via quiet-uninstall password bypass

Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Sep 29, 2024

Authentication bypass in the CylanceOPTICS 3.2 and 3.3 Windows Installer Package allows local users to uninstall the EDR agent. The quiet-uninstall path invokes the MSI uninstaller directly without validating the configured uninstall password. Exploitation requires local administrator rights and removes CylanceOPTICS, leaving the endpoint protected only by CylancePROTECT.
