Unauthorized access via non-expiring sessions
Published Jun 11, 2024 · Updated Feb 11, 2025
Insufficient session expiration in Siemens SINEC Traffic Analyzer before 1.2 allows local users to obtain unauthorized access via a retained session. The application fails to apply an expiration boundary to an authenticated session, so retained authorization state remains reusable. Local access to a retained authenticated session is required, and reuse permits viewing or changing data available to that session without service interruption.
