Authenticated template execution via unsandboxed Twig rendering
Published May 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Server-side template injection in Verbb Formie before 2.1.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute malicious Twig templates. Variables::getParsedValue passes settings such as the submission title or success message to Craft's unsandboxed renderObjectTemplate method. Control-panel permission to edit form settings is required; payloads execute when a submission is created or affected text is rendered.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
