Privilege-dropping error in Stalwart Mail Server before 0.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary root-owned files. Before dropping root privileges, the server expands file macros in administrator-controlled listener settings and returns file contents in parse-error logs. Exploitation requires RUN_AS_USER plus administrative API access or prior code execution as the service user; the reported consequence is file disclosure only.
