Stored script execution via unsanitized banner settings
Published May 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Hidden Depth Sticky Banner 1.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through admin settings. The plugin saves administrator-controlled banner settings without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, then renders the stored values on site pages. Administrator-level access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; a visitor must load an affected page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
