Authenticated code execution via unchecked console-code indexes
Published Jul 2, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Improper array-index validation in Apache Guacamole 0.8.0 through 1.5.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via crafted console codes. The terminal emulator uses values derived from server-supplied console codes as array indexes without properly validating their bounds. Exploitation requires access to a text-based connection, such as SSH, and executes code with the privileges of the running guacd process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
