HTTP request smuggling in Apache Traffic Server 8.0.0 through 8.1.10 and 9.0.0 through 9.2.4 allows remote attackers to alter origin requests. The HTTP parser accepts a malformed trailer section after the terminating chunk and forwards it unchanged, allowing the proxy and origin to disagree about request boundaries. Exploitation requires a reachable proxy and an origin that interprets the malformed bytes differently; a susceptible origin cache can also be poisoned.
