Unauthorized database access via unauthenticated MongoDB listener
Published Aug 4, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Missing authentication in IBM Planning Analytics Local 2.0 and 2.1 allows remote attackers to access its Workspace MongoDB database. The Workspace deployment binds its bundled MongoDB service to a network port while leaving password authentication disabled. No credentials or user interaction are required; an attacker able to reach that listener can view or alter stored Workspace data, but no availability impact is reported.
