CVE-2024-35141Public exploit

Root access via mesa_config command injection

Published Dec 19, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Command injection in IBM Security Verify Access Docker 10.0.0 through 10.0.6 allows local users to gain root access inside the container. The setuid-root mesa_config fips_zeroize_files path passes attacker-controlled values through MesaSystem to /bin/sh -c without neutralizing shell syntax. Any local user able to execute mesa_config can run arbitrary commands as root, compromising data and services within the affected container.
