CVE-2024-35102Network attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via default API permissions

Published May 15, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025

Insecure API permissions in VITEC Avedia Server 8.6.2-1 and earlier allow remote authenticated users to escalate privileges. The API access-control rule for 0.0.0.0/0 assigns discovered clients the admin profile, so a crafted script can invoke functions with administrative permissions. Network access and a low-privileged account are required; successful exploitation permits administrative actions affecting server data and service operation.
