Stored script execution via unsanitized registry rich text
Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025
Stored XSS in the registry Rich Text Editor of affected WSO2 products allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in other users' browsers. The registry UI rendered saved rich-text content without sanitization; the public fix applies DOMPurify before rendering that content. Administrative Management Console access and another user's viewing of the stored content are required, while httpOnly cookies prevent session hijacking.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=5.10.0 <5.10.0.296
- Affected versionversion=5.11.0 <5.11.0.333
- Affected versionversion=6.0.0 <6.0.0.181
- Affected versionversion=6.1.0 <6.1.0.142
