Unsafe deserialization in NASA AMMOS AIT-Core 2.5.2 allows local users to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted pickle file. The DMC leap-seconds loader follows a configuration-supplied leapseconds.dat path and deserializes the file with Python pickle without validating its contents. Write access to AIT configuration or another pickle-backed data source is required, after which deserialization runs attacker-chosen commands with AIT process privileges.
