CVE-2024-35057Public exploit

Arbitrary code execution via evaluated packet expressions

Published May 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Code injection in NASA AMMOS AIT-Core 2.5.2 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted packet expression. The TLM packet-expression path in ait/core/tlm.py passes an expression from a loaded packet definition to Python eval whenever the affected attribute is referenced. Exploitation requires the malicious expression to enter the packet definition and the corresponding packet attribute to be evaluated.
