Authenticated file deletion via unchecked import path
Published May 24, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Path traversal in cym1102 svnWebUI 1.8.3 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary files through a crafted POST request. UserController#importOver accepts the dirTemp path without a security check and passes it to FileUtil.del, which deletes the referenced file. A valid logged-in session is required, and deletion is limited only by the service account's filesystem permissions.
