Router crash via unchecked endIp copy
Published May 10, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC18 15.03.05.19 allows remote attackers to crash the router through a crafted endIp value. The formSetPPTPServer handler moves content matched from endIp into a stack destination identified as v9 without checking its size. The published request includes a password cookie; a crash is demonstrated, while the disclosure asserts but does not demonstrate shell access.
