Stored script execution via unescaped budget value
Published May 15, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Code Projects Budget Management 1.0 allows remote attackers to run script in a user's browser via the budget field. The expense-edit flow persists the budget value and later renders it on index.php without neutralizing injected script markup. Exploitation requires a user to view the affected page; the script then runs in the site's browser context and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
