Published Jun 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Sourcecodester Payroll Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through save_settings. The page accepts a PHP payload through its image-upload workflow and stores it in a web-accessible directory under a filename whose timestamp is predictable to the minute. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient to request the uploaded script and execute code with the web server account's permissions.
