Adjacent network exposure via standalone AP misconfiguration
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Feb 10, 2025
Configuration flaw in Ubiquiti UniFi iOS App 10.15.0 and 10.15.1 allows attackers to remove the 5 GHz Wi-Fi password. Ubiquiti has not published the exact app locus or incorrect configuration operation that causes the SSID change or password removal. Triggering the flaw requires user interaction while configuring a second-generation access point in standalone mode; password removal exposes its 5 GHz network to adjacent access.
