Menu deletion via unchecked bulk-action request
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Wow-Company Side Menu Lite before 4.2.1 allows remote attackers to delete menu buttons via crafted requests. The bulk-action handler at wp-admin/admin.php?page=side-menu-lite accepts attacker-chosen ID and delete-items POST values without checking request origin or intent. A logged-in administrator must open attacker-controlled HTML that submits the request, after which deleted buttons can disrupt site navigation.
