CVE-2024-34713Network attack vector

Limited data disclosure via SSH option injection

Published May 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Command injection in CEA HPC sshproxy before 1.6.3 allows remote authenticated users to inject SSH options through a proxied SSH command. In cmd/sshproxy/sshproxy.go, mainExitCode appended the client-supplied command after the destination host without an option terminator, allowing leading option syntax to reach OpenSSH. Exploitation requires an account authorized to use the gateway and permits limited disclosure through attacker-controlled SSH client behavior.
