Stored JavaScript execution via post-sanitization template parsing
Published May 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored template injection in Requarks Wiki.js 2.5.302 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in page viewers. The HTML renderer escaped mustache expressions before DOMPurify removed invalid tags, leaving adjacent expressions unescaped and executable. Page-editing access is required, and loading the saved page runs code in the viewer's browser context, exposing non-HTTPOnly authentication cookies.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
