Sensitive hash disclosure via alias-aware redaction bypass
Published May 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Information disclosure in Directus before 10.11.0 allows remote authenticated users to read redacted hashes through API aliases. The API passed aliased result keys to PayloadService without the original field mapping, so concealment transforms did not recognize and redact aliased hash fields. The account must have collection read permission for the sensitive field, and a crafted alias can expose its raw stored hash without changing data.
