Fund theft via misclassified payment timeouts

Improper exception handling in LNbits before 0.12.6 allows remote authenticated users to drain Eclair-backed node funds via delayed invoices. The Eclair wallet backend treats a 30-second blocking API timeout as payment failure without checking whether the payment remains in flight. A wallet user can settle a hold invoice after LNbits restores the balance, causing repeated payouts that can exhaust backend funds.
