Cross-profile contact disclosure via missing access control
Published Nov 6, 2024 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Improper access control in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Nov-2024 Release 1 allows physically proximate attackers to read contacts. Samsung identifies missing access control in Contacts but has not published the request path or authorization check that fails between profiles. Physical possession is required, and the demonstrated consequence is cross-profile contact disclosure without reported modification or service interruption.
