CVE-2024-34664

Physical protection bypass via unchecked exceptional condition

Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Oct 8, 2024

Improper exception checks in Knox Guard on Samsung Mobile Devices running Android 12, 13, or 14 allow physical attackers to bypass protection. Samsung identifies Knox Guard as the locus but discloses only that missing check logic mishandles an exceptional condition; the exact condition and code path are undisclosed. Physical access to a multi-user device is required, and the documented consequence is a Knox Guard bypass rather than network compromise.
