NFC configuration changes via exported components
Published Sep 4, 2024 · Updated Sep 4, 2024
Improper component export in Samsung FeliCaTest on Android 12 through 14 allows local attackers to enable NFC configuration. FeliCaTest exposes Android application components without proper access control, letting an untrusted local app invoke NFC configuration functionality. A malicious app running on the device needs no user interaction or prior privileges, and the bounded impact is unauthorized NFC configuration and reduced service availability.
