Memory disclosure via unvalidated text-object binary parsing
Published Aug 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 7, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Samsung Notes before 4.4.21.62 allows local users to read process memory through a crafted note binary. The text-common-object application path reads beyond the binary object's valid boundary because it lacks proper input validation. Low-privileged local access is required, and the reported consequence is memory disclosure without code execution or data modification.
