CVE-2024-3462Network attack vector

Unauthorized API access via trusted HTTP headers

Published May 13, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024

Authorization bypass in Ant Media Server Community Edition 2.9.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to invoke restricted API calls. The default authorization path trusts attacker-controlled HTTP header data when deciding whether a request may invoke protected non-administrative API operations. Exposure exists in the default configuration; published CVSS assessments disagree on whether credentials are required, and no broader impact is documented.
