Sandbox document writes via unverified caller
Published Jul 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper input validation in Samsung Health before 6.27.0.113 allows local users to write arbitrary documents into the app sandbox. Samsung has not identified the affected component, but states that the vulnerable path fails to verify its caller before accepting the document write. A local app must induce the write and a user must interact; the disclosed consequence is limited to document creation within Samsung Health’s sandbox.
