CVE-2024-34580Known exploitationPublic exploit

SSRF via default external URI resolution

Published Jun 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024

SSRF in Apache XML Security for C++ 2.0.4 and earlier allows attackers to issue server-originated HTTP requests via crafted XML signatures. The default XSECURIResolverXerces implementation dereferences attacker-controlled external reference URIs instead of rejecting them. Reachability requires an application to process untrusted XML signatures with the default resolver; requests can reach internal services, although Apache disputes the CVE as a configuration issue.
