Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized GroupId parameter
Published Apr 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024
SQL injection in Netentsec NS-ASG Application Security Gateway 6.3 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via GroupId. The config_ISCGroupNoCache.php endpoint incorporates the GroupId parameter into a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax; the published request uses extractvalue() to return an administrator name and database name through an error. Access to the remote administrative endpoint is required, and demonstrated impact is limited to reading database content.
