Unauthenticated export disclosure via retained public archives
Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Sensitive data exposure in the Ghost WordPress plugin 1.4.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read stored export archives. The export routine saved JSON and ZIP archives under the web-accessible uploads/ghost-exports directory and did not remove prior files. Exposure requires an administrator to generate an export; disclosed archives can contain posts, pages, authors, user metadata, and images.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
