Authenticated command execution via unsanitized addMac parameter
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2025
Command injection in Wavlink AC3000 firmware M33A8.V5030.210505 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary system commands. The AddMac function inserts the addMac POST parameter into an addmac command with sprintf and passes it to do_system without input filtering. A valid session cookie and network access to the HTTP management interface are required; successful exploitation grants command execution on the router.
